All our staff are fully trained to care for children and have ongoing training to update their knowledge and expertise

    It is very important to us that we employ the best practitioners to care for your children and therefore we follow what we believe to be a very high standard of set procedures when recruiting and employing people. We also have a high standard induction procedure for any new employee working in any area of the nursery. 

    We have our own team of casual call in staff who provide cover for when full time staff attend training, or go on leave, providing consistent care for the children.

    All staff have an enhanced DBS check before they start their employment.

      Early Years practitioner

      Lydia specialises in Makaton. She is passionate about children’s achievement. Personal interests are “using Makaton in everyday conversations!”

    • Victoria
      Early Years Manager - Designated Safeguarding Lead

      Victoria is the manager for Dinky Ducks, working in the setting in 2007, she left and trained as a paediatric nurse working on acute medical wards and neonatal units in Hampshire.  Victoria also gained a BA (hons) degree in Education and specialised in Early Years and managed a pre-school in Fareham for five years.

      Outside of Dinky Ducks Victoria enjoys spending time with her family, which includes two growing teenage boys.

      Nursery Practitioner

      Alison is passionate about teaching and believes every child should be treated equally and given the same opportunities and she is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential. Personal interests are spending time with family and grandchildren. gardening and cooking, knitting and cross stitch.

      Qualified Practitioner

      Sharon is a works in the Ducklings room, her specialism is the under 2’s and is passionate about families and giving babies the best start in life.

      Her personal interests is family time.

      Team Leader / Senior Early Years

      Alison works in the Puddle Ducks room, she specialises in our Time Line, Birthday Board and Planning Board. She is passionate about seeing the children reach their milestones/full potential and excel. Personal interests are spending time with my family and friends, poetry writing and cooking new dishes.

      Early Years Practitioner

      Sarah works in the Ducklings room and is passionate about keeping a safe environment for the children. Personal interests are spending time with family and friends.

      Childcare Booking Administrator

      Sarah works in the office as the Childcare Booking Administrator, sending out our monthly invoices, updating our database and administering the children’s files.

    • Lucy
      Early Years Practitioner

      Lucy works in the Ducklings room.  Lucy specialises in supporting babies first developments and building parent partnerships, she is passionate about promoting children’s communication through songs and rhymes.

      Her personal interests include dancing.

    • Rebecca
      Early Years Practitioner

      Rebecca works in the Puddle Ducks room.  She specialises in 5 to thrive and is passionate about ensuring the children are in a happy and safe environment.

      Her personal interests include reading, the gym and camping.

    • Katie
      Deputy Early Years Manager

      Katie is the Deputy Early Years Manager for Dinky Ducks and SENCO. She works in the Puddle Ducks room and occasionally in the office.  Katie specialises in SEND and is passionate about school readiness, SEND and inclusion.

      Her personal interests are socialising, eating, exploring and travelling.

      Team Leader

      Charlotte is the Team Leader in the Puddle Ducks room, she specialises in emotional well-being and school transition. She is passionate about supporting children’s emotional health. Personal interests are playing the piano and baking.

      Early Years Practitioner

      Vicki specialises in Boogie Mites. She is passionate about helping children achieve and helping to provide the best possible start in life. Personal interests are spending time with family and socialising.
