All our staff are fully trained to care for children and have ongoing training to update their knowledge and expertise

    It is very important to us that we employ the best practitioners to care for your children and therefore we follow what we believe to be a very high standard of set procedures when recruiting and employing people. We also have a high standard induction procedure for any new employee working in any area of the nursery. 

    We have our own team of casual call in staff who provide cover for when full time staff attend training, or go on leave, providing consistent care for the children.

    All staff have an enhanced DBS check before they start their employment.

      Nursery Practitioner

      Vicki specialises in Boogie Mites. She is passionate about helping children achieve and helping to provide the best possible start in life. Personal interests are spending time with family and socialising.

    • Amy
      Nursery practitioner

      Amy specialises in the lunch time routine. She is passionate about nutrition and firmly believes that every child matters, whatever their background or circumstances. Personal interests are furthering her education at college and spending time with family.

    • Becky
      Senior Practitioner

      Becky specialises in SENCO. She is passionate about helping children reach the highest potential that they possibly can. Personal interests are relaxing with family.

    • Lydia
      Qualified practitioner

      Lydia specialises in Makaton. She is passionate about children’s achievement. Personal interests are “using Makaton in everyday conversations!”


    • Alison
      Nursery Practitioner

      Alison is passionate about teaching and believes every child should be treated equally and given the same opportunities and she is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential. Personal interests are spending time with family and grandchildren. gardening and cooking, knitting and cross stitch.

    • Kelly

      Kelly is a nursery practitioner in the Puddle Ducks room and specialises in 1-2-1 support with children with additional needs, she is passionate about supporting these children and building partnerships with their parents.

      In her own time Kelly likes to spend time with her family and friends.

      Qualified Practitioner

      Sharon is a nursery practitioner in the Ducklings room, her specialism is the under 2’s and is passionate about families and giving babies the best start in life.

      Her personal interests is family time.

    • Alison
      Senior Practitioner

      Alison works in the Puddle Ducks room, she specialises in our Time Line, Birthday Board and Planning Board. She is passionate about seeing the children reach their milestones/full potential and excel. Personal interests are spending time with my family and friends, poetry writing and cooking new dishes.

    • Sarah

      Sarah works in the Ducklings room and is passionate about keeping a safe environment for the children. Personal interests are spending time with family and friends.

    • Megan
      Qualified Practitioner

      Megan works in the Puddle Duck room and specialises in physical activity, arts and craft and literacy. Megan is passionate about supporting child development and learning new skills to improve her practice. Personal interests are art and craft, music, playing the guitar and spending time with my family.

    • Lucy

      Lucy is a nursery practitioner and works in the Ducklings room.  Lucy specialises in supporting babies first developments and building parent partnerships, she is passionate about promoting children’s communication through songs and rhymes.

      Her personal interests include dancing.

    • Rebecca
      Qualified Practitioner

      Rebecca is a nursery practitioner working in the Puddle Ducks room.  She specialises in 5 to thrive and is passionate about ensuring the children are in a happy and safe environment.

      Her personal interests include reading, the gym and camping.

    • Victoria
      Dinky Ducks Manager

      Victoria is the manager for Dinky Ducks, working in the setting in 2007, she left and trained as a paediatric nurse working on acute medical wards and neonatal units in Hampshire.  Victoria also gained a BA (hons) degree in Education and specialised in Early Years and managed a pre-school in Fareham for five years.

      Outside of Dinky Ducks Victoria enjoys spending time with her family, which includes two growing teenage boys.

      Team Leader

      Charlotte is team leader in the Puddle Ducks room, she specialises in emotional well-being and school transition. She is passionate about supporting children’s emotional health. Personal interests are playing the piano and baking.

    • Katie
      Team Leader / SENCO

      Katie is the team leader and SENCO in the Puddle Ducks room.  Katie specialises in SEND and is passionate about school readiness, SEND and inclusion.

      Her personal interests are socialising, eating, exploring and travelling.

    • Jordan
      Team Leader

      Jordan is team leader in the Ducklings room, she specialises in English as an additional language when parents/Carers are away from home. She is passionate about building up positive partnerships with parents and families, as well as supporting the children in meeting their developmental goals. Personal interests are spending time with family and friends, travelling and playing the guitar.

    • Rhu
      Centre Administrator

      Rhu works as the centre administrator, which includes keeping the website and social media updated and keeping onto of invoicing.  Outside of the centre Rhu is a judge at cake shows and teaches sugarcraft.  You will find Rhu in the reception area at the Rowner Family Centre
