The very best practitioners
It is very important to us that we employ the best practitioners to care for your children and therefore we follow what we believe to be a very high standard of set procedures when recruiting and employing people. We also have a high standard induction procedure for any new employee working in any area of the nursery.
We have our own team of casual call in staff who provide cover for when full time staff attend training, or go on leave, providing consistent care for the children.
All staff have an enhanced DBS check before they start their employment.

Hi! Being an Early Years Practitioner in Dinky Ducks is fun and every day is different. Having been at the ‘Surestart’ Centre 15 years ago, I have now returned on a part-time basis. Aside from my role at the nursery, I run Crystal Rose Wellness Centre in Stokes Road and have two grown up sons.

I started at Dinky Ducks in 2013 and I am now one of the team leaders in the Puddleduck room. I have worked in both Puddleducks and Ducklings and also in Outaskool and the creche. In my spare time I volunteer as a Silverliner for people who are lonely and live alone. I call and talk to them once a week. I enjoy spending time with my son, having nights in and catching up on our favourite TV programmes.

I started working at Dinky Ducks in 2018. Since working here I have built my self-confidence tremendously. I enjoy building relationships with the children and helping them accomplish their next steps. In my spare time I enjoy being with friends and family as well as relaxing.

I started at Dinky Ducks in 2019 and am in the baby room. I am currently studying for my Level 3 qualification. I enjoy reading with the children and communicating with them to develop their learning. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and socialising with friends.

I have worked at Dinky Ducks in the Ducklings since May 2019. I enjoy helping and encouraging the children to achieve their next steps. I like to provide new experiences for the children to develop their learning whist having fun. Outside of work I love to spend quality time with family on day trips or seeing friends.

I have worked for the company since 2010 – starting at Dinky Ducks in the Ducklings room. I have recently come back to co-manage Dinky Ducks. I completed my F.D in 2018 with Distinction and believe this has helped me to be able to fullfil this new role. I am passionate about building positive parent partnerships and working together to give children the best opportunities. Outside of work I enjoy watching football with my grandad.

I started working in Dinky Ducks in 2008 as a practitioner in the Ducklings room. I became the baby room team leader in 2011 before moving into a different area of the company in 2017. I came back to co-manage the nursery in 2019 after completing my degree and training in supporting the emotional health of the under fives. I am passionate about parent partnership in the setting and valuing each and every child for the unique character they are.
